Signs and causes of varicose veins

Varicose veins are simply enlarged and twisted veins. The legs are the most affected parts of the body because of standing and walking, exercises that create pressure in the lower body. Varicose veins are almost the same thing as spider veins. Varicose veins are known to cause pain and can at times lead to serious medical problems. Indications of varicose veins include superficial and dark purple or blue veins that are twisted and bulging. Other symptoms may include achy legs, a burning sensation in your lower legs, itching around the veins and skin discoloration around the affected area. The only difference between varicose veins and spider veins is that in the latter, the veins are smaller.
