Common colds and flu can affect anyone regardless of the age and gender. - Elevate your head when sleeping

- Take a warm bath or steamy shower
This also helps to moisten your nasal passage, making you relax. It is also helpful to kids too. You can sponge bath your child to for a relief. Adding a small amount of salt to the bathing water will help to ease the pains too.
- Blow your nose regularly
Blow your nose gently and clear all the mucus instead of sniffing it back to the head. However, if you do it with a lot of pressure, it can cause you to have an earache. Hold one nostril with a finger and blow the other one. Repeat for the other one until you’ve no more mucus.
- Take a rest and stay warm
